MYSTERY OBJECTS

Really weird, strange, mysterious things make me happy. Some of the stuff in this picture is still a mystery to me – but I know what some of the things are used for. Can you make some guesses? Do you have any weird things that only you can identify?

This is an Emu Caller, made by people who hunt emus, giant flightless birds who wander the rugged plains of Australia. If you hit the top of the tube with your open palm, it makes a noise. Try it with the tube from an empty roll of paper towels. It sounds just like an Emu: “whoop whoooop whoop whooooop.”
