TOOTHPICKS

When I was a kid, my sisters poked me with toothpicks (later, they apologized). The really sharp ones used made out of real bird feathers. Now they are made out of bamboo, wood, plastic and other stuff. It’s hard to find a real bird’s feather toothpick anymore. Some people laugh at me for collecting toothpicks. I guess they think its silly, but if you search the Internet for “toothpick,” you get more than 250,000 “hits.”

In Venezuela, girls and ladies often use toothpicks to make fancy hair decorations. Sometimes they decorate the toothpicks with beads, shells n stuff that sticks on a toothpick (without even using glue).
